The announcement of Google’s new desktop search tool for the Mac was interesting to say the least. A few people got on the train of thought that this utility would compete with Quicksilver.
At this point I’d say no—Quicksilver simply does too many things other than search. But the fact that Quicksilver creator Nicholas Jitkoff, who now works for Google, is involved with this project speaks volumes to me. Perhaps search is just the beginning …
