Removing Cooliris
How do you get rid of this thing?
Cooliris is a cool idea. A plugin for your browser, it’s intended to allow you to more quickly gather and view online content such as photos and video clips. I downloaded it, tried it out and though it was … nifty.
Okay, how do I get rid of it?
Unfortunately, the answer is not overly obvious. It took a while, but I found the two following solutions:
- Manual method: remove the Cooliris Previews folder in your InputManagers folder in your library (user or system wide). Also remove the Cooliris .plugin file found in the Internet plugins folder.
- Easy, but not obvious method: Navigate to the View - Cooliris menu in Safari and click on the Remove Cooliris menu option.
